Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register?

A registration form can be downloaded from our "Forms & Flyers" page. Program flyers may be downloaded there as well. Simply complete the required forms and mail, fax, or e-mail them back to DREAM Co. with your payment or credit card information (or you may mail, fax, or email required forms and make payment via the DREAM Co. Payment Site). You may also drop off and pick-up forms and make payments at our Aikahi A+ office.

When is registration and payment due?
Registration and payment must be received on or before the deadline for each program. If payment and all forms are received, your child will be accepted into the program. Registration and payments received after the due date are accepted on a space available basis.

How do I make payments?
Payments can be made through the DREAM Co.Payment Site or dropped off at our Aikahi A+ office (open afterschool until 5:30 p.m. on school days). If you prefer, you may also mail payments to: DREAM Co., P.O. Box 565, Kailua, HI 96734, or faxed (toll free) to 1-866-583-0212 (credit card payments).

If my child has participated with DREAM Co. in the past, do I need to complete another registration form?
All participants are required to have a current registration form (less than one year old) on file. If the form is from the current school year, you do not need to complete a new one (except for summer program where all participants need a new registration form). However, if at anytime the information on the form changes, please submit a new form prior to attending the next program.

What is the staffing ratio?
The staff to participant ratio is a minimum of 1 to 20 (although there are more staff on off-site events), therefore all participants must be able to function safely within that ratio to attend.

Is there an age requirement?
Participants in the holiday programs (including fall, winter, spring, and summer) must have attended a minimum of 1 day of kindergarten (or Junior Kindergarten) prior to attending. The oldest participants have completed the 6th grade.

Are snacks or lunch provided?
No. A lunch break and morning & afternoon snack breaks are provided, but it is the family's responsible to ensure that a healthy snack and lunch are provided for the child. There is no refrigeration or heating (microwave, oven, etc) available for students. *Note: Lunch is provided on the December & June Half Day Programs.

What attire is recommended?
Since the children are involved in a variety of activities throughout the day (including both indoor and outdoor activities), we strongly recommend comfortable footwear (shoes for off-site activities) and play clothes. Sunscreen is also strongly recommended for your child.

Can we contact DREAM Co. even if you are off-site?
YES! Our regular phone number (263-3663) is always forwarded to a cel phone. Sometimes we are temporarily unable to answer the phone due to geographic location or when in the middle of some activities. However, you may leave a message and your call will be returned as quickly as possible.

Do you have an office I can register at?
Yes. As an A+ provider at Aikahi Elementary School, our A+ Site Coordinator may assist you with forms and payments. You may also email or call us. Information is provided on the "About Us" page of this website.

Are you affiliated with the school(s) that you service?
No, we are a private, non-profit 501(c)3 corporation as certified by the IRS. We are contracted by the State of Hawaii to provide A+ afterschool services at Aikahi Elementary School.
